Our Mission

At Sober Apartment Living, Co., we provide the lifestyle and support for a
successful transition from addiction recovery to an independent, productive life of sobriety and
contentment at our sober apartments in Scottsdale and Wheat Ridge. By fostering a tightly knit, supportive community of like-minded individuals, we nurture an environment where residents don’t just survive, they thrive.

About Sober Apartment Living, Co.

Sober Apartment Living, Co. (SAL) was founded upon the premise that individuals who have successfully completed a rehabilitation program improve their odds of achieving lasting drug and/or alcohol recovery at our Scottsdale and Wheat Ridge apartments by transitioning to an intensely supportive sober living environment, one that looks and feels like the “real world.” SAL is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides this exact solution: independent-living apartment complexes complemented with an array of support resources. Our affordable sober apartments in Scottsdale and Wheat Ridge not only allow residents to gain strength, confidence, and conviction to overcome their daily challenges, but SAL also helps prepare them for lifelong sobriety.

SAL is designed to provide onsite assistance and support to help those in recovery reduce the potential for relapse. Although we are not a rehab, therapy program, or clinical service provider, we understand that sustained sobriety is a journey, one made easier at our sober living apartments in Scottsdale and Wheat Ridge. We appreciate the trust our residents and their therapists, healthcare providers, and friends and family members put in us to support this worthy pursuit.

Christina is a seasoned behavioral health professional with valuable experience in several treatment methods, including intensive outpatient programs, partial hospitalization programs, and residential treatment centers. Although she started her career in sales and marketing, her passion for relating to and helping others led her to pursue a master’s degree in counseling psychology with an emphasis on co-occurring mental health issues including substance abuse and eating and mood-related disorders.

For the past 11 years, Christina has held a variety of business and program development roles, helping to build one of the nation’s premier treatment facilities for girls and women struggling with complex co-occurring disorders. The scope and depth of her understanding of the behavioral health landscape has led her to consult for private equity and venture firms, providing insight around psychiatric and addiction treatment facilities, acquisition opportunities, and technology companies within the behavioral health sector.

In addition, Christina channeled her passion for the power of creativity and appreciation for individual differences into founding The Rare Bird Project, an organization that strives to raise awareness around the issues related to mental health, body image, and addiction.
Christina has a master’s degree in counseling psychology from DePaul University and bachelor’s degrees from San Diego State University. She enjoys restaurant hopping, seeking out indie music and art shows, and going on adventures with her young son.
